Fertility Treatment Leave

The University recognises the physical and emotional impact of undergoing fertility treatment and the impact that this can have on staff.

The Fertility Treatment Leave Policy outlines the University’s commitment to supporting staff who are undergoing fertility treatment, or those supporting a partner who is undertaking fertility treatment, including the provision of paid time off.

The policy sets out these leave and pay arrangements as well as further sources of information and support available to all staff.

Fertility Treatment Leave Policy

In order to support staff during this time, the University offers paid time off to all employees who are undergoing fertility treatment, or those supporting a partner who is undertaking fertility treatment.

The Fertility Treatment Leave policy (Staff Intranet) sets out leave and pay arrangements, as well as further sources of information and support available to all staff.

Staff are encouraged to make their line manager aware and discuss future need for time off with a broad idea of timescales (where possible), and any other support needed, with reporting taking place afterwards if required.

All fertility treatment leave requests and any information provided will be treated with sensitivity and considered as strictly confidential. Applications should be made using the Fertility Treatment Leave Application Form (Staff Intranet).
