Employee Assistance Programme

HELPING EMPLOYEES MANAGE PERSONAL, EMOTIONAL AND WORK-RELATED CHALLENGES.

The University aims to ensure that all staff have access to the appropriate resources and support that they need to thrive both professionally and personally.

Balancing work, home, and everyday life can be challenging, and it’s common for individuals to feel under pressure. The University’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) offers the necessary support and resources to help staff manage these demands.

Confidential support for personal and professional issues

Through the University’s EAP partner, Inspire, staff can access confidential support for personal and professional issues that may affect their home life, work, health, and overall well-being. Depending on the nature of the issue, advice, guidance, or counselling will be provided by fully qualified professionals, and all services are available at no cost.

Staff can access the EAP helpline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Call free on: 0800 086 9934

Resources include counsellor support and information services for issues such as:

  • work stress

  • depression

  • marriage and relationship issues

  • legal concerns

  • coping with change

  • parenting issues

  • financial problems

  • INSPIRE SUPPORT HUB-ONLINE RESOURCES

The Inspire Support Hub, available exclusively to employees, provides self-help courses and online resources covering a vast array of mental health and wellbeing topics.   The monthly help sheets, written by in house clinicians, are continually uploaded to the site meaning the range of information is always expanding.

Those who may not be comfortable discussing their issues with a telephone advisor may feel happier accessing information via the website, particularly if it is of a sensitive nature. You can either use the site on a stand-alone basis, or to gather information to better understand an issue before discussing it with an advisor.

You can access these resources at www.inspiresupporthub.org

When signing up to the Hub for the first time use the unique PIN QUBSTAFF and follow the steps.
