The Languages Mentoring Programme is available to AEL students of French, Irish and Spanish.

As a student mentor you will run one-to-two mentoring sessions and deliver whole cohort talks to GCSE language learners to encourage uptake of languages at A Level. Student mentors act as role models and ambassadors, providing school-age pupils with an enthusiastic insight into life as a languages student at QUB.

You will be given full training and undergo enhanced Access NI checks in advance of delivering the programme. You can expect to develop transferable and employability skills including interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills; time management; using ICT and experience of working in schools.
