1.30pm, 2.30pm & 3.30pm. CELL EXPLORERS TOURS.
Learn how scientists grow and study different types of human cells in the lab.
An exciting event where you will learn how scientists grow and study different types of human cells in the lab.
These include blood vessel, nerve, muscle, and immune cells. Some volunteers (typically children) will get a chance to try out the techniques used to explore how these cells behave in diseases and react to treatments.
The event includes a guided tour of the cutting-edge cell culture facilities at the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute of Experimental Medicine, Queen’s University Belfast. You’ll also hear about the latest research being done at the Institute and how it’s helping us understand more about human health and how to tackle disease.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to dive into the world of cell science!
