Professor Nola Hewitt- Dundas, who is a Professor in Innovation Management and Policy at Queen’s University Belfast, was given the fellowship because of the excellence and impact of her work.

The Academy’s Fellowship comprises distinguished social scientists from academia and the public, private and third sectors. They are drawn from across the full spectrum of the social sciences.

Through leadership, scholarship, applied research, policymaking and practice, the Fellows have helped to deepen the understanding of some of the toughest challenges facing our society and the world.

Vice-Chancellor of Queen’s University Belfast, Professor Ian Greer, commented:

"I am delighted that Professor Nola Hewitt-Dundas has been conferred as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. The conferment of this prestigious Fellowship recognises the excellence and impact of her scholarship and its contributions to social sciences for public benefit."
