Queen’s to host fifth TEDx event at the University
Queen’s University Belfast - with event corporate partner PwC – is to host its fifth independently organised TEDx event.
The theme of this year’s talk is 'Ctrl+Alt+Del'. These talks will highlight just a few of the exciting projects being worked on at Queen’s, involving technology, design, people and natural resources, that may help us ‘Ctrl+Alt+Del'.
The TEDxQueensUniversityBelfast will take place at Riddel Hall on Wednesday 8 June 2022.
Ryan Feeney, Director of Public Engagement at Queen’s, said: “We are delighted to host the University’s fifth TEDxQueensUniversityBelfast event this June with our corporate partner, PwC.
“At Queen’s, we are always endeavouring to move forward, progress, invest, advance and grow. This event provides our students, staff, graduates and partners with a stage to showcase and spark deep discussion and connection about topics that are relevant to the society we live in today.”
The event will showcase the community, partners, staff, students and alumni of Queen’s University Belfast. Confirmed speakers include:
· Arlene Foster, former First Minister of Northern Ireland
· Bill Neely, former Foreign Correspondent at NBC News
· Professor Ian Greer, President and Vice-Chancellor at Queen’s
· Professor Richard English, Director of the Mitchell Institute at Queen’s
· Katie Ní Chléire, Students’ Union President at Queen’s
