Invasive alien species are non-native species, introduced by man’s activities around the globe to new locations and habitats. Invasive alien species have huge impacts such as ecological, environmental, economic, agricultural, freshwater, marine and terrestrial on sustainability. They have serious effects on sustainability and often accompanied by, and magnify, the effects of climate change. Prof Dick is a global expert on invasive alien species both locally and worldwide. The synergistic effects of invasive alien species with climate change are hot topics, for example, mosquito invasions due to climate change, and the effects on human and animal health.
