Campus Tours & Meet Us
CAMPUS TOURS
Our Campus Tours run on Mondays and Fridays at 10am,12pm and 2pm and are led by our Student Ambassadors.
They'll show you where you'll study, where you will live and the facilities you will get to use as part of your student experience.
From Monday 28 October until Friday 1 November, we will be running tours every weekday at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.
Please note that our Campus Tours are generic and not subject specific. If a subject meeting is required, our faculty staff can organise that for you – please contact them on one of the following email addresses, stating your subject interest and the date and time of your campus tour:
- askmhls@qub.ac.uk for Medicine and Health Sciences subjects
- askeps@qub.ac.uk for Engineering and Physical Sciences subjects
- askahss@qub.ac.uk for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences subjects
CAMPUS TOUR LOCATIONS
The tour itself is a walking tour that lasts around 90 minutes and takes in the main facilities of campus.
Lanyon Building
The main Lanyon building was opened in 1849 and is a Northern Ireland landmark.
Named after its architect, Sir Charles Lanyon, the striking building is the central part of the campus and has been voted one of the most beautiful university buildings in the world.
McClay Library
Opened in 2006, the stunning Library sets the benchmark for university study hubs, with over two thousand reader spaces set over four floors.
We'll show you the private study areas, the millions of books for all subjects and take you through the Narnian wardrobe door to the CS Lewis Study Room, named after one of Belfast's most noted literary sons.
Sport
The Physical Education Centre in Botanic Gardens is a state-of-the-art space. Our facilities cater for all mainstream indoor sports.
On your tour you’ll see some of the famous sporting faces whose careers were nurtured at Queen’s Sport. These facilities are all available to new students of the University.
