Pragya Sharma
“Queen’s Leaders 18-45 reflects a community that turns research into real-world impact: new companies, new ideas, and new opportunities.”
Queen’s PhD graduate Dr Pragya Sharma is advancing a steroid-free philosophy in dermatology through Gran Lab. As the Founder and CEO, her work at the Medical Biology Centre R&D lab, develops products that are effective, gentle and inclusive.
“As an immigrant and female founder, I’m committed to growing high-value jobs and a globally connected life-sciences ecosystem from Belfast.”
For Pragya, her work brings scientific lab discoveries to real-world health applications and acts as a bridge between India and Northern Ireland, improving innovation and market links, including the emerging opportunities around Queen's.
“Queen’s offered world-class scientific training and the ecosystem to build from it access to the Medical Biology Centre (MBC), supportive tech-transfer and entrepreneurship networks, and mentors who encouraged both rigour and ambition. Most importantly, I found a community that wanted the research to matter.”
