The capacity of non-state armed groups to inflict harms on civilians or other combatants remains a perennial challenge of the international and legal political order. Over the past four years we have been interviewing victims, policy makers and non-state armed groups on how they engage on reparations and the challenges of redress in protracted and post-conflict societies. This event highlights some of the key findings of a forthcoming special issue in the Journal of Human Rights Practice.
