Public outreach & key achievements
In 2016, Burnett co-ordinated the cultural initiative, 'Shakespeare Lives Across the Island', working with the British Council and other partners on over one hundred cultural events in NI/ROI commemorating the birth of Shakespeare. The initiative was accompanied by an exhibition, 'Shakespeare Lives Through Kenneth Branagh on Stage and Screen', which toured Hong Kong and numerous community venues and educational institutions.
In 2023, Burnett co-chaired 'Commemorating 100 Years of Indian Shakespeare on Film', a collaborative online event delivered between the Asian Shakespeare Association and Queen's University Belfast.
