PROFESSOR KAREN RAFFERTY
HEAD OF SCHOOL
As Head of School, Karen is responsible for the strategic direction of EEECS and for planning the School's education and research portfolio. She continues to publish widely as an active researcher and leads on the Advanced Research Centre partnership with PwC and Ulster University.
DR AYESHA ABDUL MAJEED
ARC RESEARCH FELLOW
Ayesha is currently working as a Research Fellow in the joint Advanced Research and Engineering Centre with Queen's University Belfast, Ulster University and PwC. Her research in FinTech focuses on AI-assisted financial risk assessments.
DR CIARA RAFFERTY
SENIOR LECTURER
Ciara is a Senior Lecturer in the School of EEECS. She is also a researcher at the Centre for Secure Information Technologies and an Assistant Director of the EPSRC-funded Integrated Quantum Networks Hub. Her research background is in applied cryptography.
DR BAHARAK AHMADERAGHI
LECTURER (EDUCATION)
Baharak is a Lecturer in the School of EEECS. She is also part of the Momentum One Zero Innovation Centre, and co-founder and scientific advisor at Blockbio in Belfast.
MRS MARGARET MARR
CLERICAL OFFICER
Margaret is a Clerical Officer at the School of EEECS, supporting students, academics and school management with a wide range of administrative tasks — from exam board arrangements and minute-taking to handling general enquiries and welcoming visitors at the General Office.
