Research Interests:  
  • Teletraffic- Characterisation of multimedia applications traffic profiles; Scheduling algorithms (simulation and hardware implementation)
  • Radio resource management- Assessing the impact of radio impairments upon upper protocol stack layers; bandwidth management
  • Wireless protocols evaluation- Evaluation of MAC layer protocols for the support of new wireless multimedia applications.

These research areas have been applied to the following existing technologies: IEEE 802.11 Wireless LANs, UMTS-WLAN heterogeneous networks, IEEE 802.16 BFWA and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN).
