Hillary Rodham Clinton Scholarship
The Hillary Rodham Clinton Award for Peace and Reconciliation

The University will provide a full tuition-fee waiver to an exceptional female student from the USA who wishes to pursue study in a field related to politics, conflict transformation or human rights. 

This award, created in the former Senator’s name, honours her long-standing commitment to peace, stability and education.

Northern Bridge Conference
Northern Bridge Project

The £11.2m project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), is part of a national network of Doctoral Training Partnerships which brings together the cutting-edge expertise and exceptional resources of Queen’s, Newcastle University, Durham University and their partners for the training and development of outstanding Arts and Humanities postgraduate researchers.

NINE- NORTHERN IRELAND NORTH EAST DOCTORAL TRAINING PROGRAMME

This DTP will focus on the provision of exceptional Postgraduate social sciences training, offering over 50 fully-funded studentships per year to outstanding researchers. NINE is an exciting collaboration with 7 other partner institutions - University of Newcastle, Durham University, Ulster University, University of Northumbria, University of Sunderland and Teesside University.

LINCS - Leverhulme Interdisciplinary Network on Cybersecurity and Society

LINCS is £1m collaboration between the Centre for Secure Information Technologies and The Senator George J Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice providing 30 doctoral students with three year scholarships over seven years, working at the interface between the social sciences and electronic engineering.

DfE Studentships

The DfE Studentships are funded by the Department for the Economy (DFE), formerly Department for Employment and Learning (DEL).

The studentship may cover maintenance and fees for a maximum of three years. UK residents: fees plus maintenance Other EU residents: fees only

Mary McNeill Scholarship

Mary McNeill, author of The life and times of Mary Ann McCracken, was a leading figure in the Irish Association.  One scholarship to the value of £5,000 is available for well–qualified students enrolling in the one–year MA in Irish Studies at the Queen’s University of Belfast in September 2022.  This scholarship is open only to residents of the USA or Canada, enrolling as overseas students on this MA course, and will take the form of a fee bursary covering part of their student fees.

Fulbright Scholarship, MA Global Security and Borders

In partnership with the Fulbright Commission, Queen’s University is offering a scholarship award for the Masters in Global Security and Borders within the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics. This unique opportunity offers a significant financial and support package for a student to join Queen’s and undertake the 1 year Masters programme taught by world leading experts who have been awarded grants by UK and EU funding bodies to undertake research on the interaction of borders and security.
