Welcome to Dr Deborah Roy

Deborah Roy - Research Assistant

Debbie Roy 1600x747

I am a postdoctoral researcher working with Dr Gavin Breslin on a Movember funded project titled Mental Health Guidelines for UK and Ireland Community Sport.

I completed a BSc. in Psychology at Birkbeck College, University of London. I went on to and obtain an MSc. in Applied Psychology and PhD in Psychology at Ulster University.

My interests are mental health and well-being in a number of contexts, behaviour change and the role of habit, and NHS workforce retention.

To have Mental Health Guidelines that are available in a UK and Ireland context is an important priority, and to this end a rapid review of the literature is underway and we will be running a Delphi Study with an Expert Panel, and holding Focus Groups across the UK and Ireland with community sport coaches, players, parents and other community sports club members”.
