I am particularly interested in the experiences of international students at universities and within the broader communities of their host societies. Within this broad area, my research focuses on the challenges of adjustment, racial experiences, and innovative and inclusive approaches to teaching practices that support culturally diverse classrooms. I take a critical perspective into understanding how race, place and power dynamics within universities and host societies influence the experiences of international students.
Open to PhD applications in the fields of international students' educational and socio-cultural experiences; racial experiences of international students and minority groups; immigration, adaptation and politics of belonging. I am open to qualitative research, mixed methods research, visual methods and longitudinal designs.
