Queen’s Business School Hosts Women in Business Young Women’s Network Event: ‘Creating Connections’
At the start of April, Queen’s Business School had the pleasure of hosting Women in Business Young Women’s Network event, Creating Connections, in our award-winning QBS Student Hub.

As a proud sponsor of the Young Women’s Network, we were delighted to welcome students, staff, and professionals to our state-of-the-art space. The evening provided an inspiring platform for young women to expand their networks, share experiences, and connect with like-minded individuals from a diverse range of industries and backgrounds.
The evening began with a relaxed welcome reception, offering guests an informal opportunity to network and explore the QBS Student Hub, guided by our staff.
Ciara Hughes, Lead of the Young Women’s Network, officially opened the event with a warm introduction and a call to action—encouraging attendees to get involved in future initiatives and embrace the value of female-led support networks. She was joined by Eve Turkington, Careers and Work Placement Consultant at Queen’s Business School, who spoke about our partnership with Women in Business NI and the many career-focused opportunities QBS offers to aspiring businesswomen.
The heart of the evening was a dynamic networking session, guided by practical tips and encouragement from both Ciara and Eve. Attendees were prompted to engage with someone new every few minutes, facilitating a series of meaningful conversations and connections. It was an energising and empowering experience that left everyone feeling more confident in their networking skills and inspired by the stories shared.
The event was a fantastic success, and we were honoured to host such an uplifting and purposeful evening. Events like this reflect Queen’s Business School’s ongoing commitment to promote inclusive leadership and support the next generation of female leaders.
A heartfelt thank you to Women in Business NI for their collaboration—we look forward to many more opportunities to connect, empower, and grow together.
