He specialises in integrating  agent-based and natural disaster modelling with AI techniques to simulate human-environment interactions during hazards. He developed a high-performance Coupled Human And Natural Systems (CHANS) modelling framework for real-time socio-economic risk forecast/analysis and adaptive decision-making.
