Off The Page: Workshop One

Back to events

A workshop designed to begin your writing or drafting process of a script.

Date(s)
February 21, 2026
Location
The Seamus Heaney Centre
Time
13:00 - 16:00

Off the Page is back again, and this year, we are excited to bring a new and improved program.

The first on our schedule: our first workshop, open to all students, alumni and staff to get you thinking about your scripts. Using dramaturgical practices and teachings, specifically taught by Hanna Slättne, we look into the what's, the how's and the whys.  Led by Darcey Youngman, coordinator of the program, this will be a gentle awakening into your script.

Whether it be a first draft, an initial idea or even a script put on a shelf, this workshop will focus on the beginning stages of a script, and hopefully give you the confidence and energy to propel forwards.

This is the first stage of the process, in which from this, we will select 4/5 scripts to be developed through the program. Off The Page will run until the end of May, early June, with engagement at least once a month
