Literary Belfast
Belfast has been home to a vast array of great writers, both native and expatriate, from past icons of literary culture like CS Lewis and Louis MacNeice, to the many contemporary writers based here today, all of whom have been recognised internationally for their literary achievements.
The city has a thriving local literary scene, and every year our staff, students and graduates are regularly featured in the many and varied arts festivals, including The Belfast International Arts Festival, the Belfast Book Festival, NI Science Festival, and Outburst Queer Arts Festival.
