Seamus Heaney Broadcast Archive

The Centre holds the most comprehensive collection of British TV and Radio appearances of Seamus Heaney with over 100 hours of broadcast material from the BBC and RTÉ from 1966 – 2003. In addition, Special Collections at QUB have material from 2003-2006. The material features a wide variety of programmes from schools programming written and presented by Heaney to news clips from when he received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1995. Many of the files contain Heaney poems (read by himself or others) and some feature early drafts where words have been changed upon publication.
