In September 2022, poets and lecturers at the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen's University Belfast Dr Leontia Flynn, Professor Nick Laird, and Dr Stephen Sexton travelled to Berlin to work with three German poets on new translations of their poems. 

The resulting dual-language anthology of poems launches this Sat 25 Mar 2023 at 6.30pm in the Brian Friel Theatre, 20 University Square, Belfast. We will hear poems and their translations by Nick Laird and Saskia Warzecha, Stephen Sexton and Sonja vom Brocke, Leontia Flynn and Kenah Cusanit. This will be followed by a short discussion on the challenges and insights from the translation process with the poets and colleagues from Haus für Poesie, Berlin. 

A free copy of the anthology is available to all those attending on the night. Copies will also be gifted to neighbouring schools and libraries.
