As part of our ongoing governance, content evaluation and accessibility projects, we have identified and classified a number of content types so they now archived and have a status of unsupported. 

What Does This Mean? 

Some current and live websites published by the Web CMS are using older content types to create and present information.  These content types use older code structures and assets that cannot be updated to comply with our code framework and accessibility requirements.  Therefore, these content types should no longer be used to create content.  Support and access for the content types, as listed in the table below, will be withdrawn gradually over the forthcoming period. 

What Actions Should I Take?

Please review the table below to identify whether you currently use any of the listed content types to create or edit content on your website.

• Creating new content: Use the suggested replacement content types when adding new content. Access to unsupported content types will be removed.
• Editing existing content: If you have content using unsupported types, please migrate it to supported content types.
• Old or archived content: Review whether outdated content using unsupported types is still needed. If not, consider deleting it from the Web CMS. If you need a local copy, contact us via the IT Service Desk.
• Avoid duplication: Do not copy and reuse unsupported content types, as this will create more work in the long run.
• Access issues: If you lack access to the suggested replacement content types, contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.
