In partnership with NOTA NI, QUB will host Paul Stephenson (NSPCC) and Marcella Leonard (Leonard Consultancy) Both speakers will be speaking on the topic of safeguarding issues in the sporting and community setting.

Paul Stephenson is from the NSPCC and is the Senior Consultant for Northern Ireland. He works to support sport's governing bodies to achieve and maintain their safeguarding standards. Paul assists organisations in having robust safeguarding policies and procedures but also encourages self reflection to enable sports to examine their own culture and communication with their own stakeholder.
Paul will present on 'Risk Assessing Safeguarding Incidents in the Sport and Community Settings'.
Marcella Leonard is the Director of Leonard Consultancy and specialises in child, adult and public safeguarding and protection. Marcella works nationally and internationally with statutory, voluntary, educational, criminal justice, sports, religious organisations. She is the co-author of the AIM3 Adolescent HSB Assessment Model with Professor Simon Hackett and the CASP-R Assessing Protectiveness Framework with Gareth McGibbon.

This event will be held at 6pm on Thursday 13 March in the Moot Court, School of Law, QUB.
