Web CMS - Content Type Improvement Programme

First set of changes to improve the Content Editing Experience within the platform.

Please see information below relating to changes made to assets in the Web CMS by the Web Support Team.

Name Changes and Guidance Updates
We have updated the names, descriptions, and guidance for 18 x Content Types. These updates, both implemented and forthcoming, can be viewed on our Content Type Guidance webpage.

Functionality Updates & Improvements
Please note the implemented and planned changes below.

Implemented Changes for CT - Two Image and Text CardsCT - Three Image and Text Cards and CT - Four Image and Text Cards

  • The option to "Embed Card Titles on Image" has been removed from these three Content Types.
  • This change improves usability, accessibility, and content layout consistency.
  • All existing content that used the embed title option will update automatically, and headings will now appear below the cards as per the guidance.

Planned Changes for DTP - Banner

  • Important: The field option to add "Body Text" on the banner will be removed next week. This is a legacy field that causes accessibility issues. Please see an example of the field in the image below.
  • The Content Type name will also be updated to 'CT - Landing Page Banner'.

Archived Content Types
Following a review, the following Content Types have now been archived:

  • DTP - Two Verticals
  • DTP - Three Verticals
  • DTP - Four Verticals

These assets have been archived because modern alternatives are available. We have created a guidance page for archived/legacy Content Types, where you can find recommended actions you should take and suggested alternative Content Types.
